Defend Britain in its darkest hour.

Take charge of RAF Fighter Command in Radio Commander: Battle of Britain ‘40, a real-time strategy game set during the darkest hours of World War II. As the European continent is overrun by the Axis war machine, the British Home Islands are under threat of invasion. Can the Royal Air Force and its advanced ‘Chain Home’ Radar Air Defense System defeat the supposedly invincible Luftwaffe?

Intercepting an Invisible Enemy

Dozens of squadrons of Spitfires and Hurricanes are at the commander's disposal, but these aircraft are useless if you can’t find the enemy. Utilize the most advanced air defense system in the world, ‘Chain Home’, a network of radar stations and air controllers all working towards the same goal, the defeat of Germany's Airforce.

Command the battle that cannot be seen

Radio Commander: Battle of Britain ‘40 models the delay in transmitting orders and information. From the radar stations detecting the enemy and reporting their position, to the player telephoning a friendly airfield and ordering the Spitfires to scramble, all of these actions take time. Minutes count, and your rapid response to a raid could be the difference between splashing a dozen enemy bandits, or the Jerry’s slipping the net and bombing your airplanes on the ground. The game features a single campaign with several presets, ranging from a full 100-day campaign to a shorter experience focused on the most intense period of the conflict, lasting approximately 30 days.

Live the full Battle of Britain in a complete historical campaign

The full Battle of Britain is modeled with the campaign running from the July attacks on the English coast to the terror bombing of London. Whether you just want to re-fight the Eagle Day attacks or start from the beginning and play out the entire campaign, the choice is yours.

Immersive and diegetic experience.

Based on real-life photographs taken at the Uxbridge Battle of Britain bunker, the player controls the Dowding System from an authentically modeled 3-D command center. From the maps to the officers, the status lights to the upholstery, we aim to capture the desperate feeling of the Battle of Britain.

Strategic Control of RAF Command Network

Leverage the RAF's revolutionary real-life command network: radar stations and the Dowding System provide a strategic edge,  for those who know how to use it. Detect incoming raids, assess threats, dispatch fighters, and become a true air commander.
